Message: Yearn for God More Than Eating

In this message, "Yearn for God More Than Eating",  Dr. Yong emphasized the need to love until our consciousness starts loving.  These are the points that reminded me:

1. Yearn for and Love God, Jesus, and Humankind. We must love God, love Jesus, and love the people whom God and Jesus desired to love. We can learn True Father’s secret from here. Father’s priority is to yearn for the heart of God. Public virtue is about the love of the country. It is about patriotism. He yearned to meet the patriots who went beyond themselves and their families. Father yearned to meet the five great saints in human history: Jesus, Mohammed, Confucius, Buddha, and Socrates. By connecting to these saints, he could love the world. 

2. This means Father loves the world through all these five great saints in human history. To love, he loved the saints. It means Father loved all the central figures in history. He truly loved these five great saints. I learned from Father’s beautiful attitude. To love the world, he loved the saints. To love history, he loved all the central figures in human History

3. To inherit the heart of God, we must observe these.

-Respect the saints. Respect the patriots and all central figures in history. If we don’t respect them, we don’t receive any inheritance. To inherit something from the person you love and respect. 

-Longing Heart is the second criterion is to inherit God’s sorrows. 

-Resemble the personality of God. To inherit the life of faith, you have to meet Rev. Yo Han Lee. Resemble God’s heart and achievements. Dr. Yong always yearns for Rev. Yo Han Lee. Even during his high school years, he always wanted to meet Re. Yo Han Lee. That is why he wants to inherit from Rev. Yo Han Lee how to speak. Inheriting God's Heart starts from resembling Him.

-We were supposed to learn and inherit God's heart. That starts with a longing heart. That is why the most important thing in our life is to have a heartistic relationship with God and True Parents.

4. We have to respect all things God created. How could God create such a world? We need to respect and be with them together.  This is the same for children. They will long for their parents every time they leave their homes for work.

5. Respecting someone allows us to inherit that person’s heart and personality. How many of your children or members long for you whenever you leave your home or center. You will qualify to become a minister if members long to see or hear from you. 

6. If you don’t have an object with a longing heart. You are a hypocrite. Who is the most miserable person? It is the person who does not have anyone longing or yearning for him. Longing Heart is the most important virtue of a parent and child. If you do not like or love your teacher, you cannot learn very well.  A teacher who loves his students will always inspire and motivate the students to learn well.

7. We have to yearn for a person like Noah who did not change his faith for 120 years even if the people think he was crazy for building the Ark on top of the mountain. We need to inherit that person’s life of faith.  We need to look beyond this historical portrayal of Noah as a simple narrative. This is the problem. Do you respect or long for Abraham? A longing heart goes beyond time and space. This transcendental element of yearning is the very reason this motivation is essential to our life of faith. A life of faith is a life of longing to see or feel God in our life. Jesus is not just a person 2,000 years ago. He is with me because I feel his power of love within me.

8. Do you respect True Parents, True Father, and True Mother? If we do not have a longing heart cannot inherit the fortune. It is True Father’s longing heart for Jesus that he was able to meet him. Even if you see the weak or negative points of a person, once you love or yearn for him. Those negative or weak points disappear. You must be crazy in love so that you can get good results.

9. How much must we love God? We must love God until the end and beyond. We must love until our consciousness begins to fade. If we go to the extremes, it is bound to come back to you. Going to the extremes means until you die. All the central figures taught us, they need not give up until they died. It is like the experience of Abraham when he offered his son Isaac. He went beyond the love and sacrifice his son Isaac.

10. We must love God beyond the ordinary way. He is an extraordinary being so our love for him should go beyond that extreme of loving him until eternity. Jesus loved God beyond the extremes. Jesus died on the cross but because of his desire or yearning for God, he was resurrected. Jesus did 4o days fasting 2XX.  We must love not in a normal way. Its memory should go beyond. This is the reason why the Bible says,” those who want to die, will live. Those who want to live will die”

11. True Parents showed themselves to the world as a human being so we can succeed going through the way. Don’t you think Father has a desire to eat? True Father was a human being, too. He also desired to eat, to sleep, to have sex, and other things we need as human beings. If True Father did not appear as a human being. Nobody on earth would become like True Parents. If Father did not appear like that, no human being can become perfect. He was the model of everyone’s restoration and perfection. He showed us that even if he was a human being, he could overcome the ordinary feelings of pain, hunger, and all every day because of his strong will and determination to be with God. Why? Because he understood God’s heart and he was longing to be with God all the time. Unlike us, True Father felt the existence of God strongly in his heart. The God he knew was not conceptual but a real God of substantial presence and heart in his life. We need to resemble True Parents.

12. Can I yearn for God as much as I am yearning for food?  Father said he did not come to prison to eat. He was there to restore the world. So even, if the food at Hungnam prison was always not enough. He was still able to share half of his food. Due to hunger, Father was even stimulated to eat a single bean on the floor near the toilet. But he thought I am the son of God. I am not here for the food. He realized that when he shared of his food with other people who needed more food than him. He got an incredible amount of spiritual power. From that time on, he started sharing half of his food every day for 21 days and more. Dr. Yong tried to follow what True Father did but he regretted giving part of his food for a few days. But, after that, he gained spiritual power to continue doing what he did.

13. If we can control our physical body from all four desires: food, clothing, shelter, and sex. The spirit world will recognize you. When a person loves God more than food or sexual desire, Satan will bow down and say to you that you are the lord. To enter the world of completion, we need to control our sexual desire so we can enter that immense world of love and beauty, truth, and goodness. When we overcome the four desires of the physical body, our spirit will become a divine spirit and our membership will grow.

14. When we yearn for God more than eating then we will become a divine being. If Father submitted to the desires of his body, he would not be th Messiah. How did the father overcome the desires of the body? It is his intense longing for God. Father knew how the communists operated at Hungnam prison camp, so even though he didn’t speak. The spirit world cooperated with him and he was able to witness to 12 disciples in the prison. So how did he mobilize the spirit world? When you control your physical desires especially sexual desire, the  Spirit World will come down and help you. We need to love God more than our physical desires. So even if we do not talk about witnessing, the spirit world will start witnessing to them. 

15. We need to reach the Divine Spirit level by loving God more than anything else. Anyone, who can control the physical desire especially sexual desire. The spirit world will help you succeed in everything you do. The archangel or Satan will respect you. There is a lot of temptation, especially for teenagers. But then they overcome all kinds of temptations that will come to them. They will be qualified to become the owner.

16. If you always have chapter 2 in your life. The spirit world cannot help you. But if you overcome, the members will automatically recognize and grow. We will have a lot of spiritual power if we control our desires.

When we recognize that even when God is lonely, he comforts us. Even when it is sad, he sympathized with us. This unbreakable connection between parent and children always cause God to comfort His children even if he is sad, lonely, and unrecognized. This is the heart of Heavenly Parents. He always takes care of us without thinking about himself. When we recognize this amazing connection between us and Heavenly Parents and True Parents, we will feel one with them in the heart. When we understand Their Heart, then we become one with them and we will be able to overcome the desires of the body, get the help of the good spirit world, spiritually and members will multiply.

Thank you Dr. Yong for this very enlightening and truthful message. I agree with everything you said.  I have to strongly overcome all my physical desires to comfort God and grow as His real son.
