Reflection of Dr. C.S. Yong's Morning Devotion
Message: Heart is the Framework of the Unification Movement.

The topic of Dr. Yong's message today is "Heart is the Framework of the Unification Movement.” In this message, Dr. Yong clearly explained how our movement started and how it is supposed to end the sorrowful heart of God. Briefly, we are the cause of His sorrow, the reason for His pain, and the solution to His suffering. If humankind, understand His heart as True Parents do, then the restoration of humanity and the recreation of God’s ideal become substantial. These are some of the things that moved my heart today.
1. Framework means the central axis. So this means, the heart is the central axis of our movement. Truth, Divine Principle, and Unification Thought are important but these teachings are the foundation for entering the world of heart. The main axis of the Unification movement which is based on Divine Principle and Unification Thought is the heart of God. If we do not focus on heart then we will lose the focus and purpose of teaching the Divine Principle and Unification Thought.
2. Divine Principle and Unification Thought are not the central axis and origin of the Unification Movement. God's heart is the center and axis of Divine Principle and Unification Thought. The core content of love is the heart. We need to focus on God's heart.
3. According to True Father's testimony, he was a very strong righteous boy. At a very young age, he already acquired a very keen sense of sensitivity, the dignity of heart, and strength of character. He prayed day and night and worried about how to achieve such kind of environmental change. He cannot find joy and happiness. He finds this world to be a terrible place of unrighteousness and pain. He cannot stand looking at unrighteous things and would directly fight until he wins. He didn't care about age and physical structure, he just wanted to use his power to settle everything. Until one day, he met a tremendous psychological experience. What was that? He met God substantially. He didn't know a God of power and might but one of resentment and sorrow. At that time, he experienced a change in his destiny.
4. He had a lot of questions before meeting God on that special incredible day. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient but why can't He solve all the problems in the world? He asked God and prayed many times about the answer to all his questions. But when he met God, he found out that God is not a God of glory and happiness. He was a God of much bitterness, sorrow, and pain. This and many other reflections and findings of the God he was praying for was nothing compared to a real experience. After his experience of meeting a God of sorrow, he became determined to solve God's pain and sorrow. He strongly wanted to liberate God from His tears and resentment. This small boy decided to liberate a God of tears and suffering.
5. Since True Father met Heavenly Parents, he realized his life was not a simple matter. He cried day and night and realized that the framework of his life is God’s sorrowful heart. He developed a strong determination to take revenge on Satan as a filial son of God. It dawned upon him that fighting Satan and wiping out his evil dominion is to fight with a powerful heart of God. The origin of our movement heart and tears.
6. The origin of God before the Fall was joy and happiness. After the fall, his origin became a life of sorrow and painful heart. There is a lot of conflicts to resolve like physical and spiritual problems. It was always hard to control our physical bodies with our minds. Why is our determination to change and be victorious to overcome the weakness and sin of the physical body? Why is it almost impossible to dominate the body? Do you know the origin of my power to do all these?
Father said, it is my experience of God’s sorrowful heart that made me determined to liberate Him by overcoming Satan and remove God’s pain and suffering. So he had to determine a lot to overcome the desires of his physical body. He said my body is my enemy. I need to take revenge through this body. So whenever he thinks of God’s sorrow, he feels very strong willpower not to be defeated by the physical desire, sin, and Satan.
7.Even if we try hard to settle all the problems automatically after the Fall. If we experience the sorrowful heart of God, we will be able to strengthen the framework of our movement. Since he experiences God’s sorrow, he changed his desires completely.
8.How about Noah who had to work for the Ark in the mountain? Why did he do it? How about Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Jacob, Joseph? How were they able to sacrifice their whole life? It is only by the power of experiencing the sorrowful heart of God. The key to overcoming Satan and become victorious on the cross is to strongly experience this Heart of God.
9. So how do we experience God’s sorrowful heart which will give us the power to overcome sin and Satan? It is only by meeting God could we have a life-changing experience to live and love for God. This is the reason why True Mother established the Heavenly Parents Holy Community. If our understanding of God is conceptual, we cannot grow. However, if we experience the real and sorrowful heart of God. We will grow. Why do we still have so many problems and mistakes after the blessing? This is the most serious issue in the unification movement. Even if we know the movement and our faith, it is still conceptual. If there is no heart, there is nothing.
10. Heart or Shimjung, To unite the mind and body, we need to experience God’s sorrowful heart. When True Father experienced and understood God’s painful heart, he determined to liberate God. That is why we need to overcome trials and difficulties with the power of God. We just need to go straight, anyway. Even if a tremendous problem is blocking our way, we need to think of the ways we can overcome it. To be victorious, we always need to communicate with God, also through Abel.
11. The reason why Father is never exhausted was that he never left God’s Realm of Heart. Even if he would pass through steep and rugged paths, mountains, rivers, great oceans, and continents. He would not be exhausted. Why? It is because he deeply experienced God’s desperate heart, profound love, and deep resentment of Satan for having betrayed God and left His dominion. He did not get exhausted and never left the realm of God.
12. So what is the motivation behind establishing the Unification Movement? It is to realize the immense love God has for humankind. If God is the parent of humanity, then how much He loves humankind? What is the end of His sadness after the Fall? What is the standard of His love? It is His absolute parental heart. Religious people nowadays cannot ask or even think of these questions.
13. The history of Adam, Eve, and God began with sorrow. How can we experience the origin of man’s inevitable sorrow? How did it start? If we cannot understand the heart of God’s sorrow, then we cannot solve our family problems and other human problems.
!4. When God looks at His central figures from the time of Adam and Eve, to Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. He feels so miserable. The body is supposed to be God’s temple. How can your body become Satan’s body.? Even if you received the blessing, you still belong to Satan’s temple. How can you solve this problem in your lifetime? Can you imagine God’s sorrow when He looks at you? Have you asked yourself this question? Why do we still have Satan’s nature even when we are already a blessed couple? This is God’s sorrow. So how do we experience God’s sorrow? It is only by understanding and experiencing God’s sorrowful heart. How much will God be sorrowful because of what I do?
15. If our God remains and idea or concept, our spiritual body won’t grow up. We will always be stagnant. How do we solve this problem? We need to experience the real heart and sadness of God. Sorrowfulness should not be a concept. We must experience His heart as His real sons and daughters. If this young man (True Father) can change his destiny and determine to liberate God’s heart at that young age when he started. How about us? True Father is the model for all of us.
We need to understand and feel the heart of each central figure in human history. We have to understand their heart for God, for their family, and their experience of God. As blessed families, we need to pray and reflect on our present spiritual situation, and our history. Liberating the heart of God is not just experiencing His sorrow. It is also about understanding the sorrowful heart of past central figures in history. Without incarnating the heart of God, feeling His sorrows strongly in our hearts and minds. It will be hard to end this persistent cycle of sin and evil in our life. We cannot put a stop to all the evil things we do if we do not feel the immensity of God’s pain and sorrows whenever we sin since the beginning of time.
In conclusion, the framework and origin of our movement is God’s heart. That is why when we look at the logos of the Unification Movement, the FFWPU, and other UM organizations, we always see the symbols of heart and give and take action. Through our unity with God and True Parents' heart-centered efforts, as blessed family members, we can ultimately liberate the heart of God. Thus, our existence and the existence of the movement is inevitably linked to God’s sorrowful heart. This purpose of liberating the sorrowful heart of God is the very reason why we exist as blessed couples and families. We should become filial sons and daughters who understand the sorrowful heart of God. We should work hard to remove God's sorrows as we build His Heavenly Community on earth and in Heaven.

We deeply feel that this Covid 19 crisis is helping us actually to examine ourselves and to revive our eternal commitments with a stronger framework of faith and substantial attendance to Heavenly Parents and True Parents, in unity with their Heart.
